All of Him, in all of me

Jeremiah 15:16 When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, LORD God Almighty.

Ezekiel 3:1-2,4 " 'Moreover He said to me, "Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.' So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll. Then He said to me: Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them.'"

We are in a fight for our Constitutional Republic, but the win is not in voting against the party in charge for another, the win will come when we become 'Laborers in the harvest.' This is a spiritual fight. That win could win us time, but more importantly, it can bring more citizens to God's Kingdom. Greater than this Country we live in and is being destroyed.

Jeremiah and Ezekiel were commanded to consume God's Word. They were going to a people where they'd need to communicate "TRUTH." That truth needed to be hidden inside them. God would bring it to mind and his messengers already had their "weapon" locked and loaded, they were filled with the Message, the warnings, the admonitions of God.

These men didn't have time to run back to the scroll. They didn't have time to google, or point to their audience and say, "uh wait just a moment let me go back and ask how do I answer that rebuttal." These men were ready to go, not intimidated because they were on a just and righteous mission. They had the Word within them. They obeyed and prepared for their mission.

We are given so many commands to meditate on (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-2), study (2 Timothy 2:15), and hide God's word in us (Psalm 119:11) These commands are to prepare us to be people who can stand up for justice and righteousness. We live in a time where people desperately need the TRUTH. They need to come across, live near, and work with people who know the TRUTH. They need people who have counted the cost of living as a disciple of Jesus Christ. We need to be those people, unashamed, steadfast, unmovable in our Lord. It starts with the sacrifice of taking in His word, edaciously.

Jeremiah and Ezekiel paid a price for taking in God's truth and passing it on to desperate people. Jeremiah lived a lonely life, even in Egypt during captivity. Ezekiel, it is said, was murdered by his fellow captives in Babylon. But they knew that having all of God's truth saturating their being was a win, even if it cost their lives.

We must be those willing to count the cost. Is Jesus only for heaven in your calculations of him as your savior? If he is not Lord of your life in that exchange, he may not be your savior either. He tells us what it means to be His disciple (John 8:31; Matthew 16:24-25; Romans 12:1-2). This is a necessary examination. Maybe a lack of urgency to share God's Word isn't just ignorance of it, but perhaps you don't really know the LIVING WORD (Luke 6:46), Jesus.

For those of us who have bowed in homage to Jesus and given our lives completely to Him, we must take in his word. We must stop to put in us, think on it, know it. We are being sent to a people who need to know they are calling "evil, good; and darkness, light." We know this, and we have been sent to people who need to know. It will be up to them to capitulate or cancel us, but they will be educated by us, having done what we were commanded to do. We will be in the company of men and women like Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Esther, who were willing to give their lives for what was righteous. They did not all pay with their lives, but they were willing.

You and I may not pay with our lives, but we prepare as if it's all on the table. We may not even save our Country. Jeremiah and Ezekiel did not, but they fought passionately for the men and women in theirs. We are called to fight for the people in ours. These are spiritual fights, worth fighting. When all of him is in all of us, through His Word, there will be a price to pay. That price, no matter what it is, is a Win!
